markid was born out of the frustration we felt as parents, not knowing how to connect with fellow parents who were likely searching for the same item that our kid has outgrown (sometimes in as little as a couple wears). We realized that there was an unmet need for a parent-focused marketplace and knew that it had to be simpler than the options that were available out there. From navigating the used “Almost Anything” marketplaces that sell everything (from lawn mowers to cars and pet grooming products) - to posting on social parent groups, traditional options were not tailored for parents.

markid started as a simple idea around connecting parents and making it super easy for them to sell & buy kids’ preloved items effortlessly, seamlessly & purposefully. Each aspect of the app has been carefully designed keeping parents’ unique & growing needs at the center of it.

At the heart of markid is our commitment to enable a better future for all kids in the community.

The app allows parents to donate a portion of their sale to benefit a classroom with a high economic need. As parents, we feel compelled to support causes that promise a better future for all kids. So, it occurred to us that there were more parents out there who would feel the same way and we wanted to make it really simple & transparent for them to give-back easily and thoughtfully, in a direct and immediate way.
